Training & Meetings

The Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) views leadership development for local officials as a primary role of the association. For more than two decades, ACCG has offered training and certification programs in cooperation with the Carl Vinson Institute (CVIOG) at University of Georgia to enhance the skills of elected officials.
All training programs offered through ACCG are voluntary with the exception of the Newly Elected Officials Conference which is required by state law for county commissioners the first year in which they are elected.
