Properly organized meetings provide the structure through which a board of commissioners may debate an issue and come to the decisions that are necessary to manage the affairs of a county.
The Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) has been working with Representative Jay Powell and Attorney General Sam Olens on the open meetings and open records legislation (HB 397). This legislation passed in the House on March 5 and now heads to the Senate for consideration.
