Emory Green Leadership Award

The Emory Greene Leadership Award, the highest award presented by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia, recognizes one elected county commissioner who best exemplifies outstanding commitment to his community and state.

The award is named in honor of the late Emory Greene, Chairman of the Bibb County Board of Commissioners and former President of the association. Emory was not only an outstanding leader in his home county, but he was also a statewide leader serving on a number of boards and commissions. He was always seeking ways to improve county government so that it could better meet the needs of the citizens in those communities.
