ACCG Legislative Leadership Conference

 

County officials from across the state met for the 2011 ACCG Legislative Leadership conference the first week of October 2011.  The primary purpose of this meeting was to vote on the County Platform, which guides the association's advocacy efforts during the 2012 legislative session.  In addition, county officials also:

• Participated in a Commissioners Training Program or Certified Commissioners Advanced Program class
• Enhanced understanding of key issues including illegal immigration reform requirements, election changes for 2012 and anticipated legislative issues during informative Standard of Excellence continuing education sessions
• Scheduled time to meet with state agency heads or officials
• Networked with peers from across the state
