ACCG By-Laws PURPOSE: As the fundamental unit of local government in the State of Georgia, county government is responsible for the provision of services necessary to the maintenance of the health, safety and wel-fare of all citizens of the county. In order to meet this responsibility, the several counties recognize the necessity and importance of an organization within which all coun-ties can work together to meet the needs they have in providing these services. The organization to meet this purpose shall be the Association County Commissioners of Georgia. | |
