| Forestland Protection Act Reimbursement | |
| | Date Posted: 1/28/2010 9:39:13 PM ACCG has alerted legislators that neither the amended FY2010 nor the FY2011 budget included funding for the reimbursement to local government for the Forestland Protection Act. The Department of Revenue reports that 85 counties have applied for reimbursement, and ACCG estimates that these applications amount to approximately $10 million. To view this report, click here. This reimbursement was guaranteed as part of the constitutional amendment that was approved by voters for this program. ACCG continues to urge legislators to include this reimbursement in their budget recommendations.
