The Environmental Protection Division (EPD) of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has formally released Georgia's Water Conservation Implementation Plan (WCIP). 

 

Comments and suggestions for improving and refining the WCIP are still encouraged and welcomed. Comments received through July 31, 2009, will be compiled and considered for an August update to the WCIP. After August 2009, comments will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.  Comments and/or suggestions for improvement can be addressed to WCIP@dnr.state.ga.us.

Questions & Answers about the WCIP

 

The Comprehensive Statewide Water Management Plan and Governor Sonny Perdue, by Executive Order, directed the DNR to develop the WCIP with assistance from other agencies and our state's diverse water users. The WCIP will serve as a guide for Georgia business owners, farmers, homeowners, water service providers and government officials. The WCIP was developed with assistance and comments from many individuals and ACCG has been involved with this process since its inception.
