Effective December 31, 2010, animal shelters are prohibited from using gas chambers (bottled carbon monoxide) to euthanize dogs or cats, including those that are feral and/or dangerous and may pose a threat to humans.  To review HB 788, which passed during the 2010 legislative session, click here.
