During crisis situations Law Enforcement has several roles they must fulfill. They are making sure to have the resources necessary to respond to the situation. They must be the Law Enforcement face of the city to the community. They also need to leverage relationships with state agencies and other entities to help procure those resources and services. They must respond to the community’s needs with empathy and confidence, If your organization or your employees are being blamed for the Event, engage a third party (GBI) to conduct the investigation. This avoids the perception of a cover up.
