Call for Nominations: Vacant ACCG Board of Managers Positions

Several positions on the ACCG Board of Managers became vacant on January 1, 2025.  An official call for nominations was distributed on January 8, click here to read the memo. The following seats are currently open: 

  • 1st District Representative (1 position open - must serve in Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker or Whitfield)
  • 6th District Representative (1 position open - must serve in Baldwin, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Macon-Bibb, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Twiggs or Wilkinson)
  • 11th District Representative (1 position open – must serve in Atkinson, Bacon, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brantley, Brooks, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Cook, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Pierce, Tift, Turner or Ware)
  • NACo Representative (3 positions open – may be from any county)

Attached you will find a memorandum which provides more information on these vacancies, an ACCG District map and an overview of the ACCG Board of Managers duties and responsibilities.  County elected officials may nominate themselves or be nominated for one or more of these positions as long as they represent the jurisdictions listed. 

Nominations must include a letter of interest (directed to ACCG Nominating Committee Chairman Melissa Hughes), a completed nomination form, a bio and a headshot photo.  All items must be emailed to Melissa Hughes ([email protected]) AND Beth Brown ([email protected]) by January 23, 2025 by 5:00 p.m.
