The Security of Georgia’s Voting Equipment – Letter from State’s Elections Director

There has been much attention of recent paid to the security of Georgia’s Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) voting equipment, with various groups contacting Georgia’s counties and urging that the state move to paper ballots for the November 6, 2018 General Election.  Georgia’s Elections Director, Chris Harvey, has asked that ACCG share his response with all counties in this regard, explaining our Georgia’s election laws and procedures; pending litigation; and the security and accuracy of our state’s current voting process.
