2017 District Days at the Capitol

*The March 8th  District Day has been cancelled since legislators will not be in session on that day. ACCG strongly encourages commissioners to attend one of the other two dates, February 22 or March 1, if their schedules permit. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Is internet connectivity a concern to you and your constituents?

Does your county want to know how to access transportation funding from the state’s Transportation Infrastructure Bank (GTIB)?

Are you concerned about the future of E-911 funding for your county?

Explore these topics and more during your District Day. County officials and staff will be involved in the legislative process surrounding these issues and will hear from members of our state’s leadership, including the Governor, the Lt. Governor, and Senator Steve Gooch who is expected to provide an update on the state’s broadband initiative. Elmer Stancil, Deputy Executive Director of the State Road & Tollway Authority, will also be in attendance to discuss the state’s TIB.

During each day, attendees have a chance to hear from representatives of the Executive branch, legislators, state agency leaders and ACCG policy staff as they discuss the latest developments within the legislative session. Make sure you register for this action-packed day of fellowship and learning.

Newly Elected Officials, is your calendar marked for February 9? If so, you're in for a treat! House Speaker David Ralston will speak at the Newly Elected Commissioners Day. Don't miss out on this day to celebrate your new role in county government.
