2020 - 2021 NACo Appointments

ACCG extends its congratulations to DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson who was sworn in to serve as the First Vice President for the National Association of Counties (NACo) on Monday.   NACo unites county officials across the country to advocate county priorities in federal policymaking, promote exemplary county policies and practices, nurture leadership skills, optimize county and taxpayer resources and cost savings and enrich the public’s understanding of county government.  As a NACo officer, Commissioner Johnson also serves on the ACCG Board of Managers.

Congratulations also are offered to all Georgia county officials who received presidential appointments to serve on NACo Committees for 2020-2021, including ACCG Board members Chatham County Commissioner Patrick Farrell, Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann and Lamar County Commissioner Nancy Thrash.  The full list of committee appointments named from Georgia is provided below.
