Brent is a native of Americus, Georgia where his family settled in 1837. He was an Army Engineer Captain and spent 27 years operating an office furniture manufacturing company he created while in college. He was involved in banking and industrial real estate and worked as an ISO 9000 Auditor in manufacturing. He was active throughout the community and chaired and served on a wide variety of Boards and Authorities. He served as a part-time County Commissioner and Chairman in Sumter County Georgia. 

He has a BBA in General Business from Georgia Southwestern State University and an MBA from Georgia College and State University. Brent enjoys history, food and culture and has travelled to all fifty states, many countries around the world and extensively throughout Europe.

At ACCG, Brent travels to and works with all 159 Georgia counties as a member of the Consulting Services Team and is the primary ACCG contact for all Partners, Preferred Partners, Sponsors and Buyer’s Mart Exhibitors. 

Brent’s areas of expertise include Government Financing, Business and Economic Development, Building Relationships with Staff, Constitutional Officers and Other Elected Officials, the Duties and Roles of the Chairman as well as County Personnel and Budget issues.
